Deed of a house [Chiswell-Bucktrout House] and five acres on Francis Street, Williamsburg, Va., that was purchased from Julia C. [Bracken] Avery and had been occupied by George W[ythe] McCandlish. Witnessed by [Dr.] Samuel P[owell] Byrd, Rich[ar]d Coke, and Summersett Moore. Bears affidavit of W[illia]m M. Moody, clerk, Hustings Court of Williamsburg.

Dr. Samuel Powell Byrd was the son of William Byrd, IV and Susan Lewis. Samuel P. Byrd was married to Catherine Corbin who died in 1838. He then married Mary Lewis Brooke.
